SUBJECT: Please reconsider and renew My Lady Jane for Season 2
To Whom It May Concern,
I’m writing to urge you to reconsider and renew My Lady Jane for a second season.
There’s a clear resurgence in audience appetite for adventure-forward romance—and My Lady Jane fits that moment perfectly. The series has not only sparked sustained conversation, it’s also seen a fresh wave of momentum: a huge increase in fan engagement, renewed media attention, and a noticeable upswing in viewers returning to the show—with the title trending and reappearing on Prime Video’s Top 10 lists.
Just as importantly, the cast’s profile has surged in a way that strengthens the business case for renewal. Emily Bader’s outstanding success as Poppy in Netflix’s People We Meet On Vacation and Edward Bluemel’s visibility from the new Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials adaptation (also Netflix) have expanded the potential audience and kept both lead actors firmly in the cultural conversation—an ideal setup for driving new and returning viewers to Season 2. Netflix is already capitalizing on Emily Bader's talent and notoriety as they just announced her starring in a biopic about soccer legend Mia Hamm.
And Season 2 is uniquely positioned to move fast: the scripts are already written. Renewing now would let Prime Video capitalize on the current traction and convert this renewed attention into a confident, fan-driven win.
My Lady Jane has sparked discourse across all social media platforms and retains its place in pop culture. It was on the Best Shows of 2024 for over 30 publications including The New York Times, Variety, Teen Vogue, Paste Magazine, and The Daily Mail. My Lady Jane was the only Prime show on the The New York Times list and the only Prime show to make the cut for Variety. Additionally it made dozens of lists decrying the cancellation including Collider saying "The cancellation of My Lady Jane is going to be the worst call of the year and could be a top contender for the worst cancellation of the decade."
Most of all, bringing the show back would send a powerful message: Prime Video listens—and cares about what its audience is actively showing it wants.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
